Patience, Grasshopper!

The sun has been shining the last couple of days after a cool spell. Bumblin’ Bee had been off work all week and it is really hard to not open Bob to see what’s going on in the hive. They have only been in the new hive for 19 days and he is still trying to be hands off. He added feed yesterday, but with the top hive feeder he didn’t really “open” the hive.

2016 Beekeeping Class

Today was the first of the two beekeeping classes in Lawrence, KS. sponsored by the NEKBA. This is the 2nd time we’ve set in on this class. This year’s keynote speaker was Dr. Diana Sammataro, recently retired from the Carl Hayden Honey Bee Research Center in Tucson AZ.
